For founders in the hard part.
The startup books cover the frameworks. They don't cover what it's like when the grant is rejected, the accelerator says no, the sales don't move and you can't sleep. Almost all founder advice comes from the few who built unicorns. What about the rest of us?

Who I am
I'm Ben Bauert, solo founder and CEO of Facilitate, an Australian-based VR learning company I've run for ten years. I've made payroll by inches, lost key people, reported bad numbers to a board and asked for more. I've also kept going, and learned what it costs to do that badly and what it takes to do it well. I write about this fortnightly.
What this is
One-to-one, 45 minutes, usually fortnightly, by video or in person in Perth. We work on how you're carrying it: the mindset, the habits that hold or don't, the decisions you're avoiding. It's open-ended, and every six sessions we ask whether to keep going. If it makes sense, you can purchase a further block of sessions together.
I work for you and no one else. I'm never also working for your board or your investors, and what we talk about stays between us.
Who it's for, and who it isn't
Startup founders at any stage, in any sector, who are in a hard stretch. I'm here to talk through and guide how you're empowering yourself to tackle your business challenges. If you're a solo founder, I have a sweet spot for you. This is not for business strategy; if you want help with your go-to-market, that's a different conversation and I'll say so. Not a substitute for a GP or a psychologist. If what you're carrying is depression, addiction, a relationship ending or thoughts of harming yourself, I'm not qualified to help.
Where to start
Read the posts first. If they land, send me a message and tell me what's going on. I take on a small number of founders and I'd rather have the conversation than a form.
